How Will I KnoW?

Some big stuff coming up. Big trip tomorrow to the motherland followed by a big GRE class. Feeling good about 27 so far! Lets tackle some issues!

Everyone is going through ch-ch-ch-changes, so lets be supportive of eachother! loving and holding everyday. Lets talk about plans and decisions! Lending advice everywhere you look.

I painted my room and have been waking up every day to a new neon accent wall that feels like a magic eight ball. Its nice to have a splash of color in your room. Thanks Birthday!

Year Of The TIGER (already a good sign)

If you think about it, the only people who ask you about resolutions are the ones that don't make them. So as you list yours (a tender, vulnerable moment) they eagerly sit there, eyes wide, mouth agape, and listen to you spill and then when you ask them, they say they don't make resolutions - its kinda like an anorexic watching you eat a hamburger.

Is refusing to be resolute a form of spiritual starvation? Or are these people just not thinking constructively because they killed too many braincells during the Holiday Party gauntlet? People I am talking about, you know who you are. Lets get cracking and make some lists to share!

Okay! So here are mine. Aside from the implied resolutions of each passing year, I would like to do the following in 2010:

1. Stop watching Internet television...UNLESS, I am with someone else
2. Transitional Bathroom/Meth room overhaul
3. and lastly! I had a college bonanza back in Seattle when I had to do some storage unit cleaning and I found my clunky, old film camera! Here is the real kicker...THERE IS FILM IN IT! probably from 2004 or even earlier!!!! talk about time capsule (or ticking time bomb?). So I would like to give the non-digi world another spin. Broves - any suggestions?

"Party Women Never Paint Their Faces"

This is a contest. This is a quote from what book?

You Ever Wonder Where People Go When They Say They Are Going To Work?

Like when your roommate leaves for 8 HOURS a day and then returns and its like nothing has changed except for the fact that they've just spent a majority of their day at their mystery job? And you try to picture where they sit and what they have on the walls but you can't because you can only picture them at the bar. Then you start to imagine them making lunch choices at generic midtown cafes and making small talk with coworkers and you realize your "friend" is a "virtual stranger."

New York Cares!!!

**Note where the work of the non-caffinated painter ends, and the work of the over-caffinated painter begins.

On Saturday I "volunteered" and painted some veins on vines at a public school in Harlem. Though our task was described as "asinine" by other volunteers, I was thankful that I finally got show off some of my artistic talent. The girl's bathroom was amazing and pink and reminded me of my bedroom which put me at ease when I almost fell after underestimating the height of the toilets (so small! its so four year old dont have to climb!). Elementary schools are really colorful and easy on the eyes and for second I thought to myself, "I could spend some more time at a place like this. Maybe I will become a tutor for elementary school students..." But then I was like I hate kids. I think I will voluteer at an animal shelter instead.
